On-board battery with lithium LiFePO4 technology for touring vehicles The LiFePO4 on-board batteries from Dometic Büttner are characterized by their high storage capacity, low weight and high cycle stability. An intelligent battery management system (BMS) safely monitors the batteries internally. The operation of inverters with higher output power is also possible without any problems. Even with the smallest version (MT LI 85), it is possible to operate a Nespresso coffee machine or a hairdryer up to 1,200 watts with an inverter (e.g. MT 1200SI/SI-N). Even with the MT LI 105, inverters up to 1,700 watts can be used and with the two batteries with 120 Ah and 180 Ah, consumers (hairdryers, vacuum cleaners, coffee machines etc.) up to 2,000 watts are no problem.
The battery housing used for the MT LI 85 and MT LI 105 has been adapted to the standard dimensions. This makes it possible to install this battery in an existing standard holder and the round terminals used mean that the cables already fitted can simply be attached.
With the MT LI 120 and MT LI 180, the cables can be screwed on directly, but it is also possible to screw on round terminals at a later date.
The lithium power battery is a storage system of the future that has been further developed by Dometic Büttner. Fast and complete charging while driving using the charging booster and BCB has been taken into account, as has optimum charging using the solar systems, whose control is designed for lithium operation and can be adjusted to this.
Note on the procedure for taking back used batteries: According to the "Ordinance on the Return and Disposal of Waste Batteries"
- rechargeable batteries and batteries must never be disposed of with normal residual waste.
- Batteries containing hazardous substances must be returned to a distributor or to collection points set up for this purpose by the public waste disposal authorities.
