Motorhomes are usually built on commercial vehicle chassis.
Different priorities apply to these vehicles than to a motorhome. The extra-wide motorhome bodies often make the motorhome appear narrow. A high center of gravity also has a negative effect on directional stability and therefore on the driving experience. With Goldschmitt spacers, the track width is adapted to the wide body. The motorhome thus gives the driver better directional stability, especially in ruts and crosswinds. The widened lever arm also makes the suspension a little more comfortable. As they are attached to the brake drum, there is no disadvantage for the user when changing wheels.
