In newer vehicles, it is difficult or no longer possible to tap a D+ signal directly at the alternator.
However, this D+ switching signal is needed to recognize the engine running and to activate various additional devices.
On engines without an intelligent alternator, this works with the D+ simulator, as it recognizes the rising voltage of the starter battery and switches it through.
For vehicles with an intelligent alternator - usually EURO 6 - this is only possible with the D+ active simulator. It is attached directly to the engine and triggered by the engine vibration. When the engine stops, the signal switches off automatically. The delay can be set individually.
Function is displayed via LED.
