The WA 121545 booster is a clocked step-up/step-down converter with very high efficiency, which compensates for the fluctuating alternator voltage and provides a high charging current.
It is used for optimum charging of lead-acid, lead-gel, AGM1 and AGM2 batteries as well as lithium batteries while driving in 12 V vehicle electrical systems. When a battery temperature sensor is connected, the charging voltages are adapted to the battery temperature. For optimum charging, not only the voltage of the living area battery but also the voltage of the starter battery is measured via a voltage sensor.
- Charging characteristic: IUoU (current-dependent switchover to charge retention)
- Adjustable battery types: Lead-acid battery 14.4 V/13.4 V, lead gel battery 14.4 V/13.8 V, AGM1 battery 14.4 V/13.8 V, AGM2 battery 14.7 V/13.7 V, lithium battery 14.4 V constant (CCCV or IU characteristic for LiFePO4 batteries with their own battery management system)
- Temperature compensation: automatic after connecting the temperature sensor
- Input voltage range: 12.0 V - 15.0 V
- Maximum charging current adjustable in four steps: 45 A/55 A/63 A/70 A
- Efficiency ≥ 93 % at maximum charging current
