A trailer coupling can be retrofitted to most motorhomes without any problems.
For all standard chassis without a load-bearing frame extension.
In addition to sufficient motorization, the attachment options on the chassis are important. The first step for all motorhomes is therefore to take a look under the vehicle. Motorhomes usually consist of the vehicle chassis and an attached body. Motorhome bodies are almost always built beyond the length of the chassis. For this reason, the space between the end of the chassis and the end of the body must be bridged with a frame extension. A towbar or the mount for a load carrier is then fitted to this frame extension. If a usable, upgradeable frame extension is already installed ex works, only the appropriate trailer coupling is required.
Our specialists have access to an extensive database in which we have listed almost all motorhomes produced in Europe. This allows us to determine not only the right towbar but also the right frame extension if none is already fitted. However, as motorhomes are individually equipped, it may be necessary, for example, to relocate the waste water tank, convert supports or retrofit add-on parts. All Linnepe towbars are made of steel and are cathodic dip-paint coated, which means they are permanently protected against rust. The cathodic dip coating is an effective and long-lasting corrosion protection from the automotive sector, which is scratch-resistant and resistant to stone chipping and salt water. Linnepe towbars always have EC type approval and are therefore registration-free.
